In today’s era, there are many mini-wars being fought on the Internet. One of these is between Reddit and Digg. These two differ so greatly in a lot of ways; they differ in look, feel, style, and membership. However, who among the two ranks at first? For the information of many, Digg is still on top and Reddit follows.

With regards to “Ease of Submission”, those who prefer that their dozens of stories be submitted in a short amount of time, those who need no description or categories to filter and thumbnail chooses Reddit rather than Digg. However, those who likes their social media to be as comprehensive and inclusive at it sounds they still go for Digg!

When it comes to top stories, Reddit’s way of rewarding excellent stories is to have them keep on the site in order to help them be on top. This means that if that story remains to be reads or access by internet users, they will maintain it. However, when it comes to Digg, it’s different, because the front page is kept in chronological order. As people continue to subscribe into reading their stories, they will still pushed through with the new ones and make that new stories be on top. This is why some readers really prefer Reddit rather than Digg. Aside from that, when it is about Quality of Content, Reddit outweigh more than Digg. One of the reasons is that Reddit offers a lot of alternatives to its viewers, it offers good and interesting stories, and the content of it was really remarkable. Furthermore, when it comes to a server shut down, readers still acclaimed for Reddit because they are able to carry out despite of mass traffic resulting to server shut down. Reddit has the ability to still continue to drive traffic to a website; they are bringing light quality stories, photos and videos for the readers. Unlike Digg when the server is shut down for reasons of high quality traffic, they are not offering alternatives to the viewers. This is also known as the “Digg Effect” on the account of Digg!
.
We might think that it is Reddit who is on top right? However, as what I stated above, Digg still got its rank #1. The reason for this is simple. A huge numbers of bloggers still rely and trusted Digg so much. Thousands of links that were spotted from Digging wont tantamount to the quantity being received by Reddit. Studies all show that Digg Stil Rules for Viral Marketing, SEO and many professionals. Thus, Digg still stays on top.
